The SCA Student Member Clinic is operated by the Division of Clinical Sciences to provide students and interns with valuable practical clinical experience while delivering quality manual osteopathic care to members of the community.
All services offered through our Student Member Clinic are free of charge. Clients do not pay for the hands-on manual osteopathic care they receive. Sessions generally last approximately one hour.
Our student interns receive comprehensive academic and practical training in Manual Osteopathy. We are committed to providing professional care while ensuring that our teaching clinic follows appropriate clinical protocols and standards of care.
Corrective manual osteopathic care is designed for individuals experiencing more persistent, recurring, or long-standing musculoskeletal concerns, with or without discomfort. Depending on the individual's condition and needs, a longer or more comprehensive period of care may be recommended.
Following the initial phase of care, corrective care focuses on supporting mobility, musculoskeletal function, posture, and overall physical well-being.
Supportive manual osteopathic care is intended to help maintain and preserve the benefits achieved through previous care. Manual osteopathic assessment may also help identify changes in mobility and musculoskeletal function that may benefit from appropriate hands-on care.
Continuing periodic visits, when appropriate, may help support mobility, flexibility, and overall musculoskeletal wellness.
Your student intern will work with you to determine an appropriate care schedule based on your individual needs, goals, response to care, and lifestyle.
The SCA Student Member Clinic is a teaching clinic. Services are provided by students/interns as part of their clinical training and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, emergency care, or treatment by a regulated healthcare professional when such care is required.
